On the one hand it is the traditional English make-up and the original arrangements which were composed for this constitution, on the other hand there are the complex influences of the single members like symphony orchestra, brass ensemble, big band or jazz ensemble which make up the professionalism and the original character of the Brass Band Oberschwaben-Allgäu.

In only a few years the BBOA managed to procure the authentic instrumentation and to establish connections with almost all European brass band nations.

As first German representative, the BBOA successfully took part in the European Championships. Contests signify something very special for every brass band: the intensive preparation phase for the compulsory piece, the thrill during the recitation and the unique flair of a contest day with all participants doing their very best.

Starring performances, gala concerts, series of concerts with international partner bands and solo musicians, the openness and readiness to deal with novelties makes the Brass Band Oberschwaben-Allgäu an innovator of the German brass band scene.

Original arrangements for brass band, classical and contemporary compositions, solo works and musicals belong to the standard repertoire. To be open for experiments is, last but not least, what fascinates the audience.

Only the great commitment of every single member of the band make this extraordinary brass band feasible. The fascination of the wilful cast, the challenge to every single voice and the team spirit make the Brass Band Oberschwaben-Allgäu an event of a special kind.
